Nintendo DS? Anything that will be covered?

Nintendo DS? Anything that will be covered?

Postby setoffo » 04 August 2014, 10:53

Hey all,
Just thought of Nintendo DS, is that something that will be covered anytime soon here? I know games both for the first DS can still be bought in stores but it would be awesome to be able to reproduce the console boxes and sure, it would be nice with the inserts as well, even if there are other places on the net to get those. But I like Nintandbox ;)

Any thoughts on this?
Remember! I don't create my boxes to sell or try to show them off as originals. But I do want to have boxes that look like the original, to show friends and family what it did look like when it came out "back then".

Salut setoffo, je pense que pour des questions de droit à l'image, il faut patienter 20 ans pour pouvoir diffuser les illustrations, mais peut être que je me trompe...

As Will said, DS games are still too recent, and I fear legal issues.
By the way I would not know what to propose, maybe a cardbox shape to replace current plastic cases ?
This subject will come here someday for sure, but for the moment you can grab your scans here :

Hey both of ya,
Yeah I realized that it might be too soon, I dont want any of us getting into legal problems, that's really unnecessary :) I know of TheCoverProject, but the "problem" with them is that they don't have the same quality control as Nintandbox do ;)

Oh but also, paper boxes would be sweet though. Perhaps with some sort of inner tray for holding the carts themselves or with the plastic protector box. I don't have any plastic cart protectors, I just have them loose or in the original cases so for me it would be cool with an inner tray for just the cart itself.

Ah just some ideas, would be cool if that would be possible.

My main concern was the boxes for the actual consoles. But that would mean more heavy paper or real cardboard and then glue the print onto the box. Hmm, I dunno..

All in all, just some ideas, would be fun if we could do some custom stuff, but I'm not "that" good with shapes and getting the sizes correct and so :) I'm more of a graphics dude ;)
