Chrono Trigger - Looks like I went back in time

Chrono Trigger - Looks like I went back in time

I have to say, out of my whole process, getting the old stickers and gunk cleaned off the cartridge was the hardest. I found the thing in a bin at my local game shop and it had written on a sticker and in black permanent marker on the front "Chrono Trigger" and I turned around and bought it for 38 bucks, and was told I had a week. So after getting it home, i let it sit for a day or two before plugging it into my snes. Thankfully it worked perfectly, but now I had in my hands one of the crappiest conditions of a cartridge that I had ever seen. Label gunk both dry and sticky was all over it. There were still some stickers on it, and I had no idea what to do. I quickly decided I wanted to restore it, and stumbled across this website.

The link below is to my imgchili album to show how I cleaned it up. Next up, my work recreating the instruction booklet :)

Looking good! Is that the original box or did you make that as well? What "paper" did you use for the sticker? Looking forward to see the instruction booklet! :)
Remember! I don't create my boxes to sell or try to show them off as originals. But I do want to have boxes that look like the original, to show friends and family what it did look like when it came out "back then".

The box is a reprint from the site. I used normal paper for the sticker, but used a machine that turns paper into stickers to make it stick right. The booklet is gonna take some time because I'm trying to get a small clock rendered in 3d that looks right to put in the background of most of the pages.
