Can you check if my GB Label scan is ok so I can scan more?

Just checked Allayway and BC Kid, and I'm sorry to say that this labels are still too compressed.
Also, if you can select the scan area, to avoid have the whole page, therefore files would be lighter.
And yes, you can merge many files in one zip, before the upload.

But for the moment, your scans can't be accepted I'm sorry

Which software do you recommend I use, because I'm saving with 0 compression (using Paint.NET). Is it the scanner that's the problem, or the software?

For every HP Scanner, there is an automatic image compression activated for reducing the transfer time between the PC and the scanner.
You will have to use a software with raw scan properties. I recommand VueScan :

Thank you :) Could you tell me which settings I should use so I can get the correct quality scans for this website?

Hello, that’s not very helpful to me, I was referring to the software ‘VueScan‘. There are a lot of other settings I could use aside from 600dpi and no JPEG compression :D

This is a french version, but here is my vuescan settings for scanning boxes :

The trick here is to check "Precise mode"

Select no compression for your jpg scan (100)

Hello, thank you for your settings. I have bought a very cheap Epson XP-412 and I do not have the 'Prescise Mode' option, does that mean my images will never be acceptable for this website?

(I changed the language in the software to French so I knew I was using the same settings as you ;) )

Perfect ! the scan is now very good, there is no compression.

However, there is a watermark of vuescan over it, this is not a freeware tool. Try to unlock it.
